1. About us
Atlas Removals & Handyman Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is a removals, handyman, and exterior cleaning company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is 41 The Grove, Teddington, England, TW11 8AT (company no. 09963541). These terms apply to all services we provide.
2. Services
We offer house and flat removals, man and van hire, office moves, house and loft clearances, furniture assembly, handyman services, and exterior cleaning including driveway and patio washing, gutter cleaning, and graffiti removal.
3. Quotations and pricing
All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated. Prices are based on the information you provide at the time of enquiry. If the scope of work changes on the day, we reserve the right to adjust the price accordingly. We will always discuss any changes with you before proceeding.
4. Booking and cancellation
A booking is confirmed once you accept our quotation in writing (email or text). We require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a charge of up to 50% of the quoted price to cover lost scheduling.
5. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed. We accept bank transfer and cash. For larger jobs, we may request a deposit at the time of booking. The deposit amount will be confirmed in your quotation.
6. Insurance
We hold goods-in-transit insurance and public liability insurance. Our insurance covers accidental damage caused by our team during the course of the work. It does not cover pre-existing damage, items not disclosed to us, or damage caused by inadequate packing of items you packed yourself.
7. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the items to be moved or the work to be carried out.
- Ensure there is adequate access to the property for our vehicles and team.
- Inform us of any parking restrictions, narrow staircases, or access limitations before the day.
- Ensure fragile or valuable items are clearly identified and communicated to us.
- Secure any pets during the job.
8. Damage and claims
If any damage occurs during a job, please notify us within 24 hours with photographs. We will assess the claim and, where we are at fault, arrange for repair or replacement at our cost. Claims made after 7 days may not be accepted.
9. Liability
Our liability for any single claim is limited to the value of the goods or services affected, up to the limits of our insurance policy. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. We are not liable for damage to items that were already damaged, incorrectly packed by you, or not disclosed to us before the job.
10. Data protection
We collect and process your personal data in accordance with our Cookies Policy and applicable data protection laws including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We use your data only to provide our services, respond to enquiries, and improve our website. We do not sell your data to third parties.
11. Reviews and testimonials
We may display customer reviews on our website with your permission. Reviews remain the property of the reviewer and may be removed upon request.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the most recent changes were made. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
